On 2 December 2015,  a university-industry collaboration meeting with high-level participation has been held at Koc University Rumelifeneri Campus to foster cooperation between Koç University and Koç Group Companies. The organization aimed to exchange information between industry representatives and Koç University’s research present facilities.

During the morning session, Koç Technology and Innovation Council Meeting was held, and a University-Industry Collaboration Day was held in the afternoon session. Top Managers of Koç Group companies, Faculty Deans, Directors of Research Centers attended.

President Umran İnan told that Koç University must increase R&D projects and industrial collaborations with Koç Group companies and he underlined the importance of the recruitment of PhD holder by the industry.

Koc Group Human Resources Director Özgür Burak Akkol indicated that Türkiye’s most excellent university and Türkiye’s strongest business group are successful in terms of collaboration.

At the end of the meeting, Koc University Arçelik Research Center (KUAR), Koc University Surface Science and Technology Center (KUYTAM), Koc University Tupraş Energy Center (KÜTEM), Ford Otosan Exhaust Catalyzer Labrotary, Optical MicroSytems Labrotary (OML), Manufacturing and Automation Research Center(MARC) and Pediatric Cardipvascular Fluid Mechanics Labarotary were visisted by guests.
